Why ‘Minor’ Sins Matter: A Biblical Perspective

Minor Sins Matter title design

“So then they that is in the flesh cannot please God,” Romans 8:8

When your sin is regarded a minor issue (gossip, grudge, lust) it is likely being compared to those you think are more serious transgressions (murder, theft, rape). If it seems a little thing to you, it is likely a major thing to God. Satan generally bypasses flagrant sins, deceiving us with those we often minimize (fear, timidity, easily offended).  If it is not in the Light of God, you can be certain it is from the darkest pits of Hell.

Likewise, if we cannot get victory over things we label the lesser sins, we admit they are major sins after all. What sin is not a major offense to holy God?  Never take your sinning lightly.  Never make excuses for sin.  Never categorize sin into greater and lesser sins.  There are not minor sins.
