You’ve heard it before, we are God‘s conduit through which His Holy Spirit flows. But, if the conduit is not in the right place and properly properly sanitized, it will be a little value.
Some water pipes are made to go above ground and some underground. Putting good pipe in the wrong place will eventually cause major problems. A misplaced believer will be ineffective in carrying the message to others.
When the Holy Spirit flows through you, the message can become poisoned and be misunderstood if we are not clean. As conduit, we must keep ourselves pure and spiritually fit by living the message we are called to give.
What is that message? When God delivered us from sin (salvation), He also began our deliverance from ourselves into Himself (sanctification). We often want control over our lives and believe we have the ability to live for the Lord. We must be delivered from this notion. The truth is apart from Him we can not.
Once we are convinced we can trust Holy Spirit yielding to His control is a rather small thing. Yielding to His control moves us from performance to relationship as He lives through us.
